The University of Utah Asia Campus (UAC) in Incheon, South Korea is thrilled to announce its 10th Anniversary Celebration, taking place September 26– 28, 2024. This milestone event will feature a series of engaging activities, tours, and community celebrations, highlighting a decade of growth and achievement.

The celebration will commence on Thursday, September 26, with a morning tour of Songdo and Incheon. Participants will explore the Utah Asia Campus’ vibrant urban home from an open-top double-decker bus. Following this, an interactive tour of the U Asia Campus will be held, showcasing the campus’s evolution over the past ten years and providing a glimpse into its future. Thursday will conclude with a Family BBQ & Carnival from 4–7 p.m., featuring thrilling games, carnival rides, live music, and a variety of complimentary food options, and drawing the community to campus.

On Friday, September 27, some attendees will enjoy a private tour of Seoul, while others will participate in traditional Korean food and drink workshops. The tour of Seoul includes guided excursions to iconic sites such as Namsan Tower, Gyeongbokgung Palace, and Gwangjang Market. The workshops will offer hands-on experiences in kimchi making, silk scarf tie-dye, tea ceremonies, and hanbok wearing. The day will culminate with community celebrations on campus, including a Student & Department Expo, a Welcome Ceremony, and a Film Showcase.

The week’s festivities will conclude the evening of Saturday, September 28, with the 10th Anniversary Gala at Paradise Hotel. This grand event will celebrate the achievements and future aspirations of the U Asia Campus community.

“We are excited to welcome alumni, students, faculty, and the community to celebrate this significant milestone,” said Gregory Hill, the Chief Administrative Officer of UAC. “This event is a testament to our commitment to providing a world-class education and fostering a vibrant, inclusive community.”

All events will take place in Incheon, South Korea, and are free and family-friendly, but registration is required. For more information and to register, please visit UAC 10th Anniversary Event Page.

About the University of Utah Asia Campus: The U Asia Campus is an extended campus of the University of Utah in the United States.
